Society has long ignored the needs of both the behaviorally challenged and the developmentally disabled. Often these individuals are made fun of or simply ignored by the majority of people. At the end of the day, the majority of these people who are behaviorally challenged or developmentally disabled simply want to be able to live normal lives with the most independence they can manage. The sub-standard community services that are available to these individuals do not usually make this possible.
The Sails Group challenges these individuals to live more normal and successful lives by giving them access to high quality services and well-managed programs which are designed to increase their ability to live with more independence.
The advantage of The Sails Group is that it is just that—a group. It is a collection of companies, culled together for mutual benefit. The group is more capable than any of the single projects. For example, if a project were to try to purchase mattresses, they would pay exorbitant prices. But the group can work out collective contracts which give them access to bulk pricing. At the end of the day, though, The Sails Group is about helping the developmentally disabled and behaviorally challenged.
